About Me

Aanand D. Naik, MD is a medical geriatrician and associate professor of Medicine and Health Policy at the Houston Center for Innovations in Quality, Effectiveness, and Safety (IQuESt) at the Michael E. DeBakey Veterans Affairs Medical Center and Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Naik’s research focuses on the conceptualization of Patient-Centeredness as a distinct dimension of health care quality and the relationship between Patient-Centeredness and health outcomes in older, chronically ill adults. He has published over 75 peer-reviewed manuscripts and his independent research program is supported by federal funding and foundations such as the John A. Hartford Foundation, which supports his participation in the 2013 Stanford Medicine X program.
