Joshua Reicher is a resident physician in radiology at Stanford Hospital & Clinics and is Co-Founder and Chief Innovation Officer of Health Companion, a healthcare start-up in patient engagement, secure health communication, and consumer health. He co-founded Health Companion in 2012 after working for several years on a preliminary project developing, marketing, and testing a low-cost online wellness web app for employers. Health Companion offers a comprehensive consumer healthcare platform, patient portal, and patient engagement service, and serves patients and providers nationwide. Joshua has a self-taught background in web development and through his ongoing clinical training seeks to bridge the gap between clinical care and tech innovation. Joshua graduated summa cum laude in Biophysics at UCLA, attended medical school at UCSD, and completed a medical internship at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center before beginning radiology residency at Stanford in 2013. He has published multiple scholarly articles covering topics that include investigation of a new medical device in breast cancer care, a clinical trial in mammography image data compression, and patient engagement technology.
