Abstract
The increasing demand of experts to evaluate and treat acute stroke patients has increased the need for the establishment of safe distance patient data communication and imaging.
The smartphone system would effectively and safely connect the medical team in and out of the hospital, with the sharing of medical images such as CT, Echo and MRI with quality, aiding in the treatment of acute medical cases, including time-sensitive decisions. Such system could be used to help young doctors without experience to make decisions in acute cases, now with having a virtual network of expert commenting the case in the same platform in real-time
Since the system is based on smartphone network, it would not require a connectivity between the hospitals, a standard in the current telemedicine system. This will make such system scalable, affordable, and fast-track implementable.
