We are excited to invite design philosopher and director of the Eames Office, Eames Demetrios whose work and writings broadly imagines how design can create lasting and broad impact at a global scale.
2016 Stanford Medicine X | Health Care Design Awards
Last year, Stanford Medicine | X was proud to crown its winner in the and a panel discussion with winning teams to be facilitated by Dennis Boyle, IDEO. This program is in its second year, was created to recognize the outstanding accomplishments of those who share our values and believe in the value of good design in health care. This year we to award six outstanding design projects submitted from our Stanford Medicine X community of designers, which represents the best patient-centered health care design.
 This event is free and open to the public.

EAMES DEMETRIOS

Eames Demetrios is the grandson of Charles and Ray Eames, the design team whose classic chairs, photographs and films epitomize the boundless creativity of the midcentury modern period. Demetrios is active in preserving the Eames legacy, as principal of the Eames Office, a clearinghouse of resources for researching, shopping and exploring the work of these legendary creative people. A filmmaker and visual artist, Demetrios was instrumental in creating the interactive version of the Eames’ groundbreaking film, Powers of Ten and making the film A Gathering of Elephants.
