Mary Ann received her Master’s in Business Administration, Sacred Heart University, and Bachelors of Science, Nursing, Syracuse University. VNA Care is an innovative home health, community based provider and is one of the top 10 largest nonprofit home health, hospice care, palliative care, multi-site hospice residence, private duty, wellness care networks and in the United States. VNA Care serves more than 200 communities in central & eastern Massachusetts with a $130 million budget, over 1,800 staff, 10 locations, 3 Hospice Residences, 1 Child Care Center and 3 Private Duty locations.
Over thirty-five years of uninterrupted management experience with twenty-four years at the senior executive level. Direct experience leading a home health organization as President & CEO. Successful history in Board relations, strategic planning, fiscal management, operations management, fund raising, business development, mergers and acquisitions. In 2005, led the merger that combined United Visiting Nurse Association with Visiting Nurse Services of CT. Recognized for strong vision and strategic planning skills and excellent ability to form virtual partnerships, joint ventures. In January 2012 became President & CEO of VNA Care Network Foundation & Subsidiaries. In 2012, led the successful merger of UMass Memorial Home Health and Hospice and VNA Care Network and Hospice, as well as the merger of VNA Care Network and VNA of Boston in 2013. Also in 2013, VNA Care Network Foundation joined Atrius Health as a participating organization. Atrius Health is a non-profit alliance of six leading independent medical groups in central and eastern Massachusetts and home health and hospice. Atrius provides care for more than 675,000 adult and pediatric patients with over 725 physicians, 2100 other healthcare professionals across 35 specialties.
