In this session, GetWellNetwork Founder & CEO will lead a hands-on collaborative workshop designed to inspire new methodologies for predictive interventions that activate health consumers and foster productive, collaborative relationships between patients and their healthcare providers. The workshop offers attendees the opportunity to think critically about how the intersection of clinical data, known health risks and patient engagement preferences can inform the creation of next-generation interventions and patient activation strategies to advance overall quality, safety and cost outcomes and create the optimal patient experience.

What does it take to get pilot with Stanford Health Care? What kind of solutions are they looking for? How can you best prepare for an implementation? How do you prove your value with a pilot?
The last 30 minutes of this intimate break-out session will allow some members of the audience to pitch their ideas to Stanford Hospital executives and receive pivotal feedback from Stanford Hospital and other members in the audience.

Mark Tomaino will have a 90 minute session featuring 3 innovative, emerging companies that are leveraging information technology to improve the cost and quality of care, Conversa Health, iEngage Health and Viimed. Following a brief overview of each business by their CEO, there will be a moderated, interactive session, including Q&A, which will examine the merits of each business model and evaluate their prospects after considering environmental and market dynamics.

Let’s think hard together on how to help our nations unsung hero, the caregiver.

How to develop technologies and solutions that restore joy back to the practice of medicine.
Bridget Duffy, MD, co-founder of ExperiaHealth and now chief medical officer of Vocera Communications Inc., which acquired ExperiaHealth, will lead an interactive session focused on the “quadruple aim.” Dr. Duffy defines the quadruple aim as process and technology innovations that address the triple aim while restoring joy back to the practice of medicine. In this session, she will showcase a methodology to engage physicians in partnership with nursing to identify gaps in the human experience by listening more effectively to the voice of patients and families. Dr. Duffy will also share evidence-based solutions and guide attendees on ways to deploy techniques that innovate around what is most broken in healthcare, including communication, care coordination, trust, relationship and provider burnout. At the end of this breakout session, participants will be able to lead their own teams through mapping and design workshops to identify technologies and processes that hardwire humanity and improve outcomes.
