The Medicine X Academy

Announcing Stanford Medicine X Academy – the innovation, education and patient engagement program designed for everyone

The Medicine X Academy is the evolution of the patient-designed, participatory medicine. The Medicine X Academy will be the umbrella under which the Medicine X and Medicine X | ED conferences, online hangouts, in-person and online classes come together. It is a place of learning where every stakeholder in healthcare, from patients and providers to innovators, educators and caregivers, can come together to learn and collaborate.

The Medicine X Academy will be the home for everything you know and love about Stanford Medicine X. Additionally, we are excited to announce a new series of online open courses. Starting on September 9, 2014 anyone can enroll in our first-of-its-kind Patient Engagement Design course.

The Medicine X Academy is also excited to announce a new patient engagement certification: the patient engagement certification for everyone. The certificate, awarded by Stanford Medicine X, will focus on the what, how, why and strategies for becoming ePatient leaders. It is open to anyone with an interest and passion for patient-centered care and design.
