Announcing Engage and Empower Me: a course on patient engagement design

 In Program Development

If you’re excited about our new live weekly broadcast series Stanford Medicine X Live!, now you have twice as many reasons to be excited. Starting January 9, 2014, Medicine X will be live broadcasting a new course I will be co-teaching at the Stanford University School of Medicine with Dr. Kyra Bobinet from the Stanford Persuasive Technology lab. Join us every Thursday 6:00PM-7:00PM PST from January 9, 2014 until March 13, 2014.

Engage and Empower Me (ANES 205) is a new course on patient engagement design in the School of Medicine at Stanford. We’ll be taking a two-pronged approach to looking at patient engagement design: one through the lens of the science of behavior change and the other through the eyes of actual patients and their real-life stories of engagement and empowerment.

Best of all, we’ll be taking questions via Twitter and the #MedX hashtag during the live classes so you can participate even if you can’t attend the course in person at Stanford. As an added bonus, we’re providing limited seating to the public in addition to Stanford University students who enroll in our course.

Learn more about the course on our AIM Lab website.

Your creative synergies never cease to amaze me, Dr. Larry Chu! You just keep raising the bar! Wish this CA girl was in California to join you f2f, but I am very excited to be able to attend your course virtually! Syllabus with readings to come? 🙂
