Peter Jones

About Me

Dr. Peter Jones is associate professor at Toronto’s OCAD University, and a founding faculty of the Strategic Foresight and Innovation and Design for Health MDes programs. For over 20 years Peter has led the design of decision support and educational services for clinicians, scientists, students and professional practices through design fieldwork and cognitive ethnography. Peter wrote Design for Care: Innovating Healthcare Experience (2013, Rosenfeld), a leading text for service design cases and methods in patient-centred and clinical healthcare. He is a frequent conference speaker and author in service and systems design in healthcare practice. Peter has served as co-chair of the Oslo-based symposia series Relating Systems Thinking and Design, and has presented his work and student research in this series. Peter holds a Ph.D. in Design and Innovation Management and a Master’s in Human Factors – Cognitive Psychology.
