About Me
Simon Mawer is Program Manager of Risk Strategy & Design for the Stanford University Medical Network Risk Authority and Director the Innovence Lab Stanford, a center for innovation in healthcare risk, serving the Stanford University medical system.
A passionate problem-solver, Simon leads hospital teams in using design thinking and science-based approaches to develop and implement effective solutions to the most important human, system, and technology drivers of healthcare risks.
Simon received his law degree from the University of Technology, Sydney and is admitted as a Lawyer to the Supreme Court of New South Wales. His is also a graduate of the Stanford University Strategic Decisions and Risk Management, and Innovation and Entrepreneurship programs. If he’s not tackling a new risk management challenge, you might find him surfing his favorite waves or backpacking in the Sierra Nevada mountains.
